New product introductions

At this year’s Design District, Hollands Licht is proud to launch two new product collections: Tension Light and Flyte. Both were designed by Ernst Koning and will be available in Q4 2024.

Tension Light, 2024

How do you create a fixture using as little material as possible? This was the brief given to Ernst for the design of Tension Light. The result is a fixture with minimal construction elements, a reflector made from recycled material, and flat packing.

The principle is simple: bend a flat material and clamp it onto the LED tube. As simple as it sounds, finding a recycled sheet material with the desired aesthetic and technical properties proved challenging in practice. After extensive testing, two materials were chosen: Rezign and recycled aluminium.

Flyte, 2024

Flyte is a linear design featuring elegant styling that makes the fixture both prominently stylish and subservient to functionality. The V-shaped shade is made from 96% recycled aluminium and is available in a raw untreated brushed version and three powder coat colours.
