Eclips

Evert Jelle Jelles, 2020

This Dutch classic can change in function instantly. The moveable shade can be rotated and tilted. This makes the Eclipse an uplight, downlight, wall light and reading light in one. In the closed position, a circle-shaped eclipse is created, and transforms the lamp to give a subtle, atmospheric effect.

Designer and architect Evert Jelle Jelles designed the Eclips floor light in 1960, which was later produced by Raak, an Amsterdam light factory which existed until 2011. For its redesign, the original leg was replaced by an elegant base with a single upright. The classic E27 fitting has made way for an innovative, integrated LED element which radiates 360°.
